MEISINGER dPTFE Membrane
Micro-textured, high-density PTFE Membrane
MEISINGER‘s dPTFE membranes are made of high-density PTFE with a pore size of less than 0.3 µm. Thus, the non-resorbable membrane is insensitive to bacteria and allows a maximum of predictability and aesthetics. When using the dPTFE membranes, no primary wound closure is necessary. The exposed membrane can be removed with tweezers after at least 21 days without surgical intervention; no additional anesthesia is required. The hexagonal depressions are designed to increase the surface area, which leads to increased stability of the membrane and favors cell adhesion without increasing the porosity. For best results, the side with the depressions should be placed in the direction of the soft tissue. The MEISINGER dPTFE membranes can be cut to size as needed.
