The Root Sectioning Kit Samarani comprises 6 selected tungsten carbide instruments for sectioning multi-rooted teeth into fragments. By combining this kit with BRSS1, extraction of roots can be performed as follows:
Procedure
- If the tooth is multi-rooted, sectioning of the tooth into separate root fragments by using burs from BRSS2
- Selection of an elevator from BRSS1 according to the anatomical position of the root
- Intraoral positioning of the elevator at the root
- Atraumatic mobilization of the root by gently hammering on the end of the elevator
