cerabone® plus - bovine bone substitute material

cerabone® plus consists of the established bovine bone substitute cerabone® and the biopolymer sodium hyaluronate. Cerabone® plus thus combines the exceptional volume stability of cerabone® with the well-researched biological properties of hyaluronic acid.

After hydration, the product forms a mouldable mass that offers unique ease of use by considerably facilitating the absorption and application of the material into the bone defect. cerabone® plus is therefore the first sticky bone straight from the pack and is unique in the field of dental biomaterials.

Efficient defect augmentation, time-saving application and simple defect contouring

Hyaluronic acid is an important component of hard and soft tissue and has gained enormous importance in many medical applications. State-of-the-art biotechnological fermentation processes are used to produce the recombinant sodium hyaluronate used in cerabone® plus. Thanks to its pronounced ability to bind large quantities of liquid, the hyaluronate in cerabone® plus forms a viscous substance after contact with aqueous solutions or blood.

This enables the user to achieve efficient defect augmentation and time-saving application as well as simple defect contouring, while at the same time reducing the displacement of individual particles during administration.
